Davis, Marjorie (Banks)
Born April 27, 1914, Marjorie moved with her family from Berkenhead, England to West Vancouver in 1937, where she married Matthew Davis, August 30, 1941. Marjorie passed away peacefully in her sleep, November 30, 2004 at Dufferin Place in Nanaimo. Predeceased by her husband Matthew John Davis and her sisters Edie and Dora, she leaves behind her loving Sons: Gordon (Alison) in Nanaimo; Malcolm (Trudy) in Richmond; Lyle (Carol) in North Vancouver; as well as her Daughter Barbara (Keith) in Nanoose. Marjorie also leaves behind 9 Grandchildren, 7 Great grandchildren, many Nieces, Nephews and an extended family. Marjorie is remembered by many friends through St. David’s United Church and The Loyal Orange Lodge. The Family thanks the Staff at Dufferin Place and Woodgrove Manor for the care they have provided. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 4235 Departure Bay Road, Nanaimo, BC at 2:00pm Saturday, December 04, 2004. In Lieu of Flowers- Donations may be made to the BC Alzheimer’s Society.
