It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Marion (Mom) in her 77th year. She was born in Calgary, raised in Exshaw, Alberta and moved to Nanaimo where she lived her life to the fullest. Marion was predeceased by her husbands Ed Stead in 1981 and Lyle McMillan in 2002 as well as her son Ken in 1991 and infant daughter Mary Ann.
Marion is survived by her daughter Cathy (Wayne) and son Les (Maureen), grandchildren Sarah, Jessica(Kirk), Jennifer, Philip, Mary, Vanessa, Christopher, Emily(Christopher), Heather and great-children, Hillary, Victoria, Tamara, Nathan, Haileigh, Haily.
Also survived by sisters Inez, Florence (Albert); brother Lloyd, sisters-in-laws Trish, Louise and Georgie and predeceased by sister Elsie and brothers, Melvin, Alfred and Conrad. Marion is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Along the way Marion gathered many friends whose friendship she valued, all of whom her family wishes to invite to a Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at 2pm - Trinity United Church, Spartan Road, Nanaimo.
In memory of Marian (Mom) it is requested that all who knew her do a random act of kindness and please hug somebody today.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Salvation Army or Trinity United Church.
