DAWE, Margaret Alice
Feb. 27, 1919 – Jul. 31, 2009
Loved by many, Margaret Dawe passed peacefully at the Chemainus Health Care Centre in Chemainus, BC on July 31st among friends and family.
Predeceased by her son William, daughter Elna and loving husband Thomas. Survived by her grandsons Scott Taylor (Helene), William Taylor (Danna), and loving great-granddaughters Molly and Beatrix.
Margaret was a bright light whose vivacity brought love, laughter and joy to many lives. Her zest for life included gardening, a serious interest in painting, and spending time with her family and the many friends that she made and kept throughout her life. Margaret took great enjoyment, pride, and comfort from her much loved family of brothers and sisters, in-laws, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Some of her fondest memories involved time spent with family, including vacation time in Hawaii, Harrison Hot Springs, and Birch Bay. Margaret had an infectious and irreverent sense of humour and laughter was common in her presence.
Margaret led a bountiful life until the end. Her grandsons are thankful for her care and support and hope to be guided by her exemplary life. We miss you but are happy that you are with Tom and other family again. As Margaret wrote: “Please don’t weep for me. I go to a better place. Be glad for me.”
