LUVA RAY WALKER

June 18, 2011

Walker, Luva Ray

Born in Kingston Ontario in 1929, Ray passed away peacefully at Dufferin Place, Nanaimo on June 18, 2011 after poor health conditions plagued her in her latter years.

Ray was a resident of Lantzville for 47 years and a primary school teacher in District #68. She enthused many students on their way to learning at Seaview and Forest Park elementary schools for over 30 years. As an accomplished pianist, Ray’s musical talent was enjoyed by the members of the Latter Day Saints ward in Nanaimo for many years. She will be remembered by many, including her daughter and son-in-law Frank and Zorka Smith (Zolyniak).

We wish to thank Dr. Colin Walker for his many years of care and the staff and volunteers at Dufferin Place for their caring support in Ray’s final years. There will be no service.
