Lloyd passed away suddenly at home with an undying faith in Jesus Christ his Redeemer. He was born in the village of Lipton Saskatchewan and moved to North Vancouver with his family in 1933. Lloyd was an active member of the Lutheran Church all throughout his life, serving in all elected offices, including the chairman, for several years. He owned and operated Nanaimo Pharmacy Ltd. until 1972 when he retired, but remained active in family businesses with his son Stan and brother Arthur Schopp. Lloyd recently wrote and published a history of the Royal Canadian Cadet Corps of North Vancouver, BC entitled 'While Her Loyal Sons Are Marching'. He is survived by his loving wife Eva, daughter Cindy Gillespie (Keith), son Stan Schopp (Roberta), Grandchildren Christopher Gillespie (Shannon), Christina Gillespie, Daryl & Kevin Schopp. A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 394 Shepherd Ave, Nanaimo BC at 1pm Wednesday, August 10, 2005. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
