Addison, Linda Jean

Linda Jean lost her courageous 6 year battle with ALS (Lou Gerhig’s Disease) on December 13, 2009. Born in Nanaimo on April 4, 1946, she is survived by her brother, Bill Addison; her birth daughter Lisa Green; cousins, and many wonderful close friends who stood by her on her journey with ALS. L-J, her nickname since high school, is the daughter of Joe and Hazel Addison, deceased. Her love and compassion for animals was prominent in her life. L-J treasured our wonderful part of the world for kayaking, hiking, cycling and skiing and was grateful to be born and raised here. She is a former TD Bank employee (1988 until 2001). She felt blessed to have crossed paths with so many amazing people during her lifetime and for the many outdoor adventures she experienced. L-J had a kinship with the ocean and loved to be out in her kayak. There will be no funeral by request but an outdoor farewell party will be planned at a future date.

“When you see or hear a seagull, think of me.

I’ll see you on the next wave.”

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Society, the Mt. Benson Land Trust Fund or the SPCA in her name.
