Leydy M. Brink

Our Loving mom Leydy Brink of Nanaimo B.C. Passed away peacefully on Feb 27th 2017 .
Leydy was born in Hoek Van Holland, Netherlands on July 31st 1919. Her parents were Pieter and Blandina Koopmans.
Leydy moved to Canada with her Husband Dick and her daughter Ini in March of 1947. They moved to Wadena Saskatchewan then to Saskatoon where her second daughter was born (Dia) and then to Grande Praire Alberta where her son was born (Rick) then on to Penticton and then finally ending up in Nanaimo in 1967.
Leydy worked many years in the Sear store downtown. She was also actively involved in Christ Community Church and was one of the first members there.
One of moms loves was to vacation to Hawaii and travelled there with our dad several times.
She also loved to collect dolls and had hundreds in her collection from all parts of the world.
Leydy is survived by 2 Children Dia Dey (Robert) and Rick Brink (Terry) and six grand children Lisa, Jay, Randi Anne, Kevin, Kelly and Ericka, as well by 7 Great Grand Children Sydney, Deklan, Easton, Gavin, Jackson, Abigail and Grace.
She was predeceased by her Husband Dick (1995) and her daughter Ini (2015).
Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Community Church at 1 P.M. on March 11th 2017, 2221 Bowen Road, Nanaimo. B.C. Phone 250-758-1513.
