Laurence ELLIOTT

ELLIOTT, Laurence passed away on February 27th, 2003, in the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital at the age of 55 years old. Born on June 3, 1947 Kindersley, Saskatchewan, and was raised on the family farm in Flaxcombe, Saskatchewan. Laurence moved to Nanaimo in the early 80’s and was married March 17, 1989 devoted family man - loving husband - grandfather of 3.

Laurence is survived by: Wife - Dianna; Daughters Tammy and Christine; Son Jordan; and Son-in-law Steve Deighton; Grandchildren - Sidney - Kyla - Avery; Mother - Eileen Elliott; Dad - Frank Elliott; Brothers and Sisters - Jean Dunlop, Arnold Elliott, Mary Schmidt, Bernice Radies, Austin Elliott, Brenda Abbs, Judy Bader; Mother in Law - Inger Bloodsworth; Father in Law - Bob Bloodsworth and Sister in Law - Karen Bloodsworth.

Laurence worked in the Real Estate field in Calgary in the 1970’s, where he owned and operated his own Century 21 office. He was also 19 years as the sales manager with Nanaimo Realty, and recently in sales with his wife Dianna at ReMax of Nanaimo. Laurence was committed and invovled in the community of Nanaimo and Regional District as: • Area “A” Regional Director - Library - Parks Board, • Exec. Director of RDN - Treaty Negotiations Committee, • Contact Person for Lupus B.C., • B.C. Children’s Hospital past committee member, • Past Member of VIEX, • Director of Island Sheep Breeders Association and • Member of the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board • BCREC Association plus numerous other associations.

“Celebration of Life Service” to be held at Beban Park Auditorium on Bowen Road, Nanaimo at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5th, 2003. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Laurence’s memory to the Lupus Foundation.
