Aro, Kosta Victor

Born July 4, 1923 in Sointula, B.C., passed away Oct. 16, 2008 in Nanaimo, B.C. after a lengthy battle with cancer. Predeceased by his brothers Reino (1966) and Donald (1981) and his beloved wife Lucy (1994). He leaves to mourn his passing daughters Jean McGiffin, Janice Seaborn, son James Stewart and 8 grandchildren.

Vic served with the R.C.A.F. during World War II. A graduate of U.B.C., Vic worked for many years at the Pacific Biological Station in Nanaimo as a research scientist, studying Pacific salmon. After retirement he and Lucy enjoyed traveling. Vic had a passion for gardening and maintained a beautiful yard for many years. Vic was the consummate gentleman, a kind and caring man who will be missed by all that knew him. No service by request.
