Passed away in Nanaimo Hospital October 3, 2003 at 1:55 p.m. She is survived by her husband David and son James Timmins, daughter-in-law Kimberley and three grandchildren, Alexander, Katarina, and Cassandra. Karen was born in Nanaimo February 17, 1949 and lived her whole life in Nanaimo. She was predeceased by her parents Bob and Belle Williams in 1986 and 1987. She worked for Pacific Produce, Ryan’s Wholesale and BC Tel before taking a college course in Vancouver and going to work for the BC Assessment for 25 years, her illness forcing her to leave work there. She leaves behind her brothers Doug Williams, John Williams (Edythe) Bobbie Williams (Sharon) and one sister Charlotte Thompson (Steve), all of Nanaimo. She also leaves her mother-in-law Mary Stolarchuk, sister-in-law Debbie Beattie (Larry) her other mother-in-law Doris Timmins and numerous relative and friends. She was an avid gardener, loved hiking, fishing and travel. Memorial services will be held Friday, October 10, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Chapel on Bowen Road with internment at Cedar Valley.
