Joyce Lorraine Berto (Nee Knight)
January 12, 1925 ~ October 30, 2008
Joyce passed away in the loving embrace of her children Frank and Lorraine. She was born at Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, the youngest of ten girls. She settled in Ladsymith, marrying Henry (Smokey) Berto in 1948. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law Pamela, son-in-law David, grandchildren Joanna, Nick and Paul. Also her sisters Ilene Hollands and Violet McManus plus many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her very dear friend Glad Malli.
God knew that she was suffering
That the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed her weary eyes and
whispered “Peace Be Thine.”
Away in the beautiful hills of God
By the valley of rest so fair.
Someday, we know not when
we will meet our loved ones there.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Berto Home, on Sunday, November 9th, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.
