born May 25, 1922 in Brusane Croatia, passed away suddenly at home on February 1, 2004. He is survived by his loving family his wife of 56 years Antonia, daughters Steficia (Archie), Rosa (Ed), Anne (Keith), son Bob (Cindy) and his much loved grandchildren; Tashia, Andrea, Robert, Danielle and Thomas, two nephews Robert and Michael Willis and their families, their Mother Milka is predeceased. Josip and his family immigrated to Peru from Italy in 1947. Milka was instrumental in bringing Josip and his family to Canada in 1952. Josip started work at Honeymoon Bay Mill and worked there until his disability in 1975. His great passion was his garden and his weekly card games. Prayers will be offered on Wednesday, February 4, 2004 at 8:00pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, One Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 11:00am on Thursday, February 5, 2004 at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 301 Machleary Street, Nanaimo, BC with Father Darek Zarebski presiding. Interment in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar, BC.
