Left us suddenly at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. John was predeceased by his wife Joyce. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Iris, daughter; Leanne (Al); sons: Robert (Amy), Cyril (Vannessa); grandchildren; Thomas, Cassandra, Adam, Rebecca, Alicia and Jonathan; great grandson, Ryder; his brother Bernie and also by “Buttons”.
John lived and worked many years in Nanaimo and Gibsons, BC. He was a long haul trucker with more than five million miles on the road. He will be missed by many friends he made along the way, who had the pleasure of meeting him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pioneer Village, 241 Moilliet Street, Parksville on Saturday June 19, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made, in John’s memory, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 401-495 Dunsmuir Street, Nanaimo, BC V9R 6B9
