O'Brien, John (Jack) Raymond Senior
John Raymond O’Brien Senior also known as "Jack", passed away peacefully on April 16, 2005 at Malaspina Gardens in Nanaimo at the age of 78. He is survived by his 5 sons, John Jr., Keith, Ernie, Doug and Gary. He also leaves behind two close grandsons, Sean and Shane, two grand-daughters, Tanya and Shelly. He has several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as great friends and colleagues. "Jack" was a proud veteran of WWII and after an honourable discharge, "Jack" worked hard as a plumber and pipefitter in Nanaimo for over 20 years. He had a passion for recreational fishing and he learned to fly-fish with 2 missing fingers. A small celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, April 24, 2005.
