Miller, John George
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of John Miller. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Joyce; children: Diane (John), Jack (Nancy), Terry, Cheryl (Mansell), Jim (Lori), and Rick; 12 grandchildren: Rob, Kristy, Leigh, Chris, Allison, Michael, Kathleen, Rebecca, Rachel, Jeff, Noelle and Amanda; 7 great grandchildren; siblings: Gerry, George, Claudia, Ada, Kay and Lucille.
John was born and raised in Nanaimo. He saw many changes as Nanaimo grew from a small resource based town to a large diverse metropolitan area. He served in the Canadian Air Force in WWII. He worked in the Vancouver Island Logging Industry for 35 years, and had a lifelong love of farming and gardening. He was a quiet supporter of many local charities.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
