Joan Theedom
Born September 11, 1930, a native daughter of Nanaimo, passed away peacefully in Travellers Lodge on December 11, 2006.
She is survived by her loving husband Gordon of 53 years, two sons Michael (Colleen) and David (Molly), grandchildren Jordan, Shaila, Kelsey, Garrett, Bailey, and Morgan.
Pre deceased by her father Alfred, mother Florence and brother Elliott.
Joan was born and raised in Nanaimo, attending John Shaw High School together with her husband Gordon. Joan worked at CHUB Radio in 1949 as a receptionist, where she re acquainted herself with Gordon, finally marrying him in 1953.
Private Family Cremation, flowers gratefully declined. For those so desiring donations in memory of Joan may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
