JEAN LOUISE THICKE

November 1, 2008

Jean Louise Thicke

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Jean Louise Thicke. Jean was born in Edgerton, Alberta on September 19, 1928, to Annie and Ernest Griffiths.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Thicke; her daughter, Cheri (Freeman); son-in-law Terry Freeman; daughter Sue (Peters), son-in-law John Aver, grandchildren Yasmin (Quinn-Young), Megan (Peters), Jordan (Nehaj), Matthew (Nehaj), and great-grandchildren, Keegan, Ewan and Shaela (Quinn-Young). She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Thompson, her brother-in-law and wife, Douglas and “Billie” Thicke, and sister-in-law and husband, Phyllis and Jack Bowers and several relatives in B.C., Alberta, England and Switzerland.

A generous, kind-hearted lady with a delightful sense of humour, her great joy in life was to gather the family together at every opportunity, for seasonal holidays, birthdays, Woodland walks and especially times exploring favourite beaches on the island. She has given her family countless cherished memories filled with love and laughter.

A private service of the immediate family will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2008.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s name, to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
