In Loving Memory ~
Mrs Janette Vera Paterson Kotval, our beloved and devoted mother, passed away on April 9th, 2024, at the age of 83.
Mom was born and raised in Scotland, where she attended college and completed her practicum. She married our father and emigrated to Canada. Shortly thereafter they settled in Nanaimo, heartily endeavored at life's opportunity, marked milestones, nurtured their children through to adulthood, and tended an enviable garden.
Mom held dear the comity of tea, homemade shortbread, and conversation with her good friends of many years and shared experience.
She now reunites with her soulmate, truelove, and confidante - her husband of five decades and our father. Her three children, Kirsten, Neville, and Keith will miss her immeasurably.
A gathering and celebration of her life will be held this summer.
