OLMSCHANK, HENRY (HANK)

Born June 30, 1921 in McLeod Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Chemainus Health Care Centre October 1, 2007. Hank was always a gentle, kind, loving man with a heart of gold and will be sadly missed and remembered by his three daughters, Linda Edgar (Bill), Diane Kay (Wayne), Glenda Liimatta (Allan); six grandchildren, Neana, Jamie, Tammie, Kyle, Kymberly and James; eleven great grandchildren; his sister Charlotte; and many friends and relatives. Hank was predeceased by his loving wife Hazel of 54 years in July 2002. Hank was a Canadian War Veteran and served with the RCAF from March 1943 to April 1946. He worked most of his life in the Chemainus area as a carpenter and was a loyal member of the Chemainus Legion and the Ladysmith Fraternal Order of Eagles. A special thanks to Dr. Broere, and the caring staff at the Oceanview and the Chemainus Health Care Centre. A celebration of life will be held at the Chemainus Legion Hall on Saturday, October 13 at 12:00 noon.
