Kessler, Heinz Andreas, Born 1925, passed away peacefully at his home October 20, 2002. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 and had resided in Nanaimo for 46 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Thea; daughters Karola, Ellen, son Herbert (Marcia). His grandchildren, Travis, Haven, Tanya and Cody. Niece, Hannalore, (Tim, Yvonne, Timmy and families). Nephew, Karl Heinz and family. To say the least, he was a “unique man”. He will be forever remembered and cherished by his family and friends for his eminent love of nature, endless wisdom, meaningful poetry and writings, relentless humour, and his great passion for debate. He loved to talk, but more importantly he loved to be heard. We heard you. May your peace give us strength and our strength ensure your peace. Thank you Opa. We love you.
