WALDRIFF, Hazel Kelly

January 7, 1919-June 10, 2004

Hazel passed way peacefully at her daughter’s home in 108 Mile Ranch, BC. Predeceased by her husband Orville (Rusty) and her son Ronald, she is survived by her daughters: Luanne (Ron) Jones, 108 Mile Ranch, BC; Maureen (Rick) Haworth, Grand Forks, BC and her son Tim (Yvonne) Quesnel, BC. 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive her. Prior to her move to 108 Mile Ranch one year ago, Hazel lived in Nanaimo for 54 years. She was an active member of the Nanaimo Association for Mentally Handicapped people and along with her husband was instrumental in beginning the Association. She was also active in the United Way campaign for many years. As member of the First Baptist Church for 50 years she also served as a deaconess. A funeral service was held at the 100 Mile Baptist Church on June 14, 2004. Following a private family interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens there was a tea in her honour at the First Baptist Church, 1650 Waddington Road, Nanaimo at 1:30pm on June 26, 2004. Please join her family in a celebration of her life at that time.
