George Littlemore passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on January 22nd at Nanaimo & District Hospital at the age of 78. He will be lovingly missed by his wife Anne, his sisters, Grace, Brenda and Joan in England, his children Janet, Jayne, Joanne, Rob, and Vern and their families. Born in Liverpool, George moved to Canada in 1955 where he worked as an electrician until he retired in Nanaimo. George was an avid golfer and fisherman. He will be fondly remembered for gladly offering his opinion or expertise at the drop of a hat. George was fortunate that he was able to do the things he loved especially his frequent visits to England.
Please join us in celebrating George’s life at St. Peters Church 301 Machleary St. in Nanaimo at 11:00 am on January 27th. George’s final resting place will be in the Field of Honour at Cedar Valley Memorial. Flowers are graciously declined. At the request of the family a donation may be made on George’s behalf to the B.C. Lung Association. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at Nanaimo & District Hospital for their compassion during a very difficult time.
