Frances Sleeman

(nee Rezansoff)

Frances Sleeman passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 4th, 2017, at the age of 89.

Frances grew up on a farm near Benito, Manitoba, and taught school until she married Douglas Sleeman and started her family. She resided with her husband, Doug, in the Crestview, Manitoba area where they farmed and raised their 10 children.

A woman of extraordinary resourcefulness, Frances rose to meet any challenge that came her way setting an excellent example for her children. She was known throughout the community for her generous spirit, hospitality, and delightful sense of humour.

After leaving the farm, Frances worked for many years at the Swan Valley hospital until she retired to Nanaimo, British Columbia, fulfilling a life long dream of living by the ocean.

Frances is predeceased by her husband Douglas and son Lorne; and is survived by her children: Dwight (Mary Ann), Karen, Kathryn (Tony), Bill (Cheryl), Myrna, Elden, Valerie, Arlyn (Bob), and Wendy (John), and her 20 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Mom, you are deeply missed and

forever loved by all.

Services to be held at 2114 Meredith Rd., Kingdom Hall in Nanaimo, BC, March 18th, 2017 at 1pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
