PEACOCK, Florence May

born in Nanaimo on February 26, 1911. Passed away peacefully, with loving family at her side, at Dufferin Place Extended Care on October 24, 2004. Predeceased by her husband Thomas in September 1970. Survived by her son Thomas (Carole), daughter Evelyn (Fred) Wilson. Grandchildren Ken (Paddy) Wilson, Alice (Richard) Currie, Greg (Debbie) Peacock, Brad (Denise) Peacock. Great grandchildren Erin & Heather Currie, Emily & Paula Wilson and Danielle Peacock. Sister-in-law Margaret Peacock. Brother-in-law George Walters and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Florry was a charter member (60 years) in Silver Leaf #1 Pythian Sisters working hard at Bazaars and Walkathons for Cerebral Palsy (Nanaimo Child Development Centre). Special thanks from the family go to the loving staff at Dufferin Place Extended Care where she spent her last 3 1/2 years, and also to the staff of Kiwanis Village Lodge where she lived several years before. No service by request -arrangements by Mount Benson Funeral Service. A tea will be held in Florry’s memory at St. Andrews United Church Hall on Saturday, November 6, 2004 from 2-4pm. Donations, if so desired, may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Nanaimo Child Development Centre, or charity of choice.
