Gordon, Eva Marie, a 35 year resident of Nanaimo, passed away December 1, 2002 at the age of 62 years. Eva was born in Ponteix, Saskatchewan, February 23, 1940. Predeceased by her husband Mel in 1991. Eva is survived by one daughter, Karen (Mark), two sons, Glen (Jennifer), Shane (Julie), four grandhildren, Dallas (Cari), Kyle, Kody, Kaitlyn, and one great granddaughter,Cherish. Eva will be remembered for her love of dogs. She was also a member of the local Tai Chi Society and a widow’s group. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Peterman and Dr.Spry and the entire 5th floor nursing staff for their loving care. Visits and assistance by close friends were greatly appreciated. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11:00am, St. Peter’s Church, Father Darek Zarebski officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a tea in the Church Hall following the service. At a later date, Eva will join Mel in the Niche Wall in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Eva made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapel of Memories, Lois and Ray Doumont, Directors.
