Mills, Ernest (Bill) Henry

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, born in Caerleon, Gwent, Wales on May 17, 1913, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2009 at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Bill was predeceased by Gladys, his wife of sixty six years, and is survived by daughter Eileen, son Bill (Lorraine), grandchildren Katie (Craig), Scott, Tyler (Melinda), and great grandchildren Liam, Faith and Casey.
Bill deeply loved his wife and family and he and Gladys touched the lives of all those they had contact with.
The family would like to thanks the doctors and nurses of NRGH Emergency department and the Third Floor, along with Dr. Ken Mann for their compassion and professional manner in the caring for Bill in his last days.
A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at 11:00 am at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
