Eric D. BODIN

December 4, 2005

The family of Eric D. Bodin are sad to announce his passing on December 4, 2005. Eric came to Canada in 1951 from Norway. Eric is survived by his wife of 53 years and his four children. His six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren were his life. He also leaves behind his two "grand dogs". Eric was very passionate about the work he did for his union, The Pulp and Paper Workers’ of Canada Local 8. He worked long and hard for the benefit of his fellow union members. He was also a representative for the Federation of Canadian Unions. Eric also wrote under the pseudonym Bugs Jumper Junior for the Local 8 news letter The Leaflet. Eric loved kids and had much fun at the Union Picnics as the "Cotton Candy Man". He loved to talk and always had a story or a goofy joke to tell. He liked to make people laugh. He helped many families when they travelled in Mexico. The little kids loved "El Gordo". He made them laugh and they made him laugh. Above all else, Eric was a very proud Canadian. We will all miss him. There will be a celebration of the life & times of Eric Bodin Saturday, December 17, from 1:00 pm and on at the family home.
