She loved the is land (es pe cial ly the big trees), show ing it to ad van tage to an yone on a first vis it. A strong, proud Ca na dian wom an, she was nev er an ac tiv ist, but al ways a par tic ip ant in the wom en’s strug gle for le gal and fi nan cial in de pen dence. Well re spect ed by those who knew her well, she was hon est, loyal and gen erous with her self, as well as an y thing she had to give. She was appreciative of life, en joy ing con certs and books, and had a wonderful sense for ad ven ture and trav el. She was very aware of her fam i ly his tory, en thu sias ti cal ly pass ing it on to her off spring. Sur vived by her daugh ter Lori Swanson, sons Rick (Kathy) Lang and Ran dy Lang, 7 grandchil dren and 6 great-grandchil dren. Also, her sisters Viet ta Mc In nes, Lor raine (Pete) Fourn i er, Yvonne (Walt er) So ko luk, Shir ley (Ray) Pridie, sister-in-law Edna Wood, and her broth er Bruce Wood. Pre de ceased by her broth er Ro bert Wood, broth er-in-law Ray Mc In nes, Sister-in-law Sylvia Wood and broth er Pete Wood.
