Shillington, Elva Darlene
March 13, 1954 – April 23, 2017
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin and dear friend. Elva was cherished and loved by all.
Predeceased by her father Jack and brother Robert, Elva is survived by her mother Jessie Shillington, brother Warner Gary Shillington (Connie), sister Sharon Vanderputten (Chris), niece Meeghan Shillington, nephews Warner Allen Shillington (Lisa), Jacob Vanderputten and Trevor Vanderputten, and great nephew Logan Shillington.
Elva worked in the Health Care profession in Nanaimo and Vancouver, then continued as a caregiver to her family in Nanaimo.
She will always be remembered by her family and friends for her selfless and caring nature and generosity.
A service for Elva will be held from 1-3:30 pm, Saturday, May 6th at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo.
