“Libby” was our sweet spirited sister and friend who was loved by all who met her and was a kind, friendly soul who enjoyed her involvement with Nanaimo Alliance Church and the Phoenix Center. She enjoyed helping others, being with people playing games or having a cup of tea. She retired two years ago from her role as a Peer Support Worker at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and remembered her time there fondly. From children she babysat to co-workers throughout the years to inpatients at NRGH she was loved for her simple, cheery ways, and had at times the underlying strength and courage of her grandmothers and mother.

A graveside service at the Cranberry Cemetery, Powell River, B.C. will be held May 11, 2017 at 1 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at Nanaimo Alliance Church May 18, 2017 at 3:30 with a tea to follow.

Thank-you to Dr. Justin Kinsley and specialists, Nanaimo Traveller’s Lodge/Eden Gardens nurses, staff and residents, NRGH Emergency and ICU staff, Dr. David Forrest and Brianna. Your care and attention was exemplary.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Camp Imadene or Phoenix Center Nanaimo – Canada Mental Health.
