sturton, Elisabeth (Elly) born July 2nd, 1924 passed away peacefully August 6th at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Elwood E. Sturton. Elly leaves with fond memories her children Clark, Karen (Bill), Kent (Pauline), Elisabeth (Gary) and Catherine; grandchildren Kobe Leah, Marie; Breann, Eli jah; Kamilah, Noah, Serena, Sarah and sisters, Jeanneau (Peter), Jopie, Mies, Coby (Hank), Gerti, Addie (Jo) and Francois (Gerhart). Elly immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1947 and became a Ca na dian citizen in 1954, an achievement for which she was very proud. Elly joined the Duncan C.W.L. in 1950 and received her 50 year membership pin from the Nanai mo C.W.L. in 2000. She spent many happy years working as the Re cep tionist for Bruno’s Coiffures until her retirement. The family would like to express their heart felt thanks for the loving care and support given by Dr. Vreede and all of the TL‚ staff at Nana mo Re gional Gen er al Hos pital. The memorial mass was held at Trinity Catholic Church, Spartan Road, Nanaimo at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, August 10th, 2002. In lieu of flowers, the family re quests that a donation be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 255-2000 Is land Highway, North, Nanaimo in memory of Elly.
