Blinston, Edward Alan (Al) passed away peacefully December 6, 2002 age 66 years. Born in Cranbrook, BC and raised in Courtenay, Al is predeceased by his parents and one brother, Rick; He is survived by his loving wife Marj; one son John (Maxine), Langley; stepson Wayne (Sharon) Minneapolis; Stepdaughters Cheryl (Mark) Tolan, California; Karen (Dave) Beaton, Manitoba; Granchildren Jeremy, Lenore, Cynthia and Tina; Natasha and Alan-John (A.J.) great-grandchildren Jacob, Colby and Aryana; also his sister-in-law Heather Blinston, Vancouver, BC. Al was Past Commodore of the Nanaimo Yacht Club and Past District Commander, Cana dian Power Squadron. A Celebration of his life will be held at the Nanaimo Yacht Club, 400 Newcastle Ave. on Thursday December 12, 2002 from 11:00am until 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Al’s memory to the Nanaimo Heart and Stroke Foundation appreciated.
