Born in Speers, Saskatchewan 1910. Passed away at Greenwoods Ganges B.C. January 17, 2006. Predeceased by wife, Isabel in 1987, companion, Lydia Purser 2003 and grandson, Chris Jones. Survived by daughter, Barbara Imler, sons Laurie (Joan), Don (Marilyn), 8 grandchildren, Dan and Doug Jones, Trudy and Valerie Goodman, Sue Trebett, Don Goodman, Jennifer Mandy, Jim Goodman, 16 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren, close family friend Eddy Jang, sisters-in-law Marjorie Nicholls, Alice Hougen, brother-in-law Jerry Howard and special friend, Frances Gurney, numerous nieces and nephews. Goody came to Salt Spring Island from the orphanage in Victoria in 1922 as a Bullock boy. In 1934 married Isabel Howard and they were caretakers at what is now Maracaibo. Moved to Ganges in 1944 working at the Trading Co., then Shell Gas Station and established Goodman Funeral Home. He was active in the community as fire chief and ran the ambulance service for several years. Member of Admiral Lodge, Past Master 1969, Lions, Elks and Legion. Thanks to Dr. Woodley, Meadowbrook, and especially to care given by staff at Greenwoods. Flowers gratefully declined. A Celebration of Life will be held at Meadon Hall, Royal Canadian Legion, Ganges, B.C. on January, 28th, 2006 at 2 p.m.
