Cole, Denis Robertson (BSc.P.Eng)
Greatly cherished husband father and grandfather, died suddenly after a short illness in the Nanaimo Hospital, BC on July 21st, 2006. Born in London, England on April 9th, 1926, Denis was educated at Whitgift School and Imperial College, London University where he was awarded a BSc in Engineering. He came to Canada in 1956 to take a position with the City of Edmonton, where he worked faithfully until his retirement in 1991. Denis is survived by his wife Roberta, daughter Jane (Brett) Finlay, grand-children Jessica and Liam Finlay, many lifelong friends, and extended family. Denis was a gentle man respected and loved by all. There will be no service by request. An informal celebration of his life is to be held at the Craig Bay Beach Club in Parksville on Friday July 28th between 2-5pm.
