Stupich, David Daniel born December 5, 1921 in Nanaimo Hospital and raised in South Wellington, passed away in Dufferin Place on February 8, 2006 after a lengthy illness. Dave was a graduate of Ladysmith High School. He joined the RCAF in World War II where he became a pilot and a flying instructor. After the War he attended UBC and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture. He later studied and became a chartered accountant. For many years he was active in the CCF/NDP and was a long-time MLA and MP. Dave is survived by his second wife, Elizabeth Marlow; brother, Roy Stupich; sisters, Violet (Richard) Forster and Marjorie Stupich; four daughters, Flora Stupich, Marjorie Boggis, Kathleen (Peter) MacDonald, and Helen (Colin) Harris; nine grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Alvin and Stanley. A memorial service will be held in St. Andrews United Church, 311 Fitzwilliam St., Nanaimo on Saturday, February 18th at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
