Godard, Claude Marcel
May 7, 1928 - April 21, 2017
With saddened hearts we are announcing the passing of Claude at NRGH Palliative Care. He died peacefully on Friday April 21 with family at his side. Survived by his wife Marlene of 38 years, his children Claudette (Don), Michael, Corrine (Gary) and Donald. Stepchildren Deb (Bryce), Greg (Viv), Dianna (Denny) and Brenda. 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, as well as extended family and friends.
Claude worked at the Somass Mill in Port Alberni for 42 years shipping lumber. He enjoyed playing his hockey and golf. Everyone that knew him enjoyed his sense of humour. Heartfelt thanks go out to the Doctors, Nurses and Volunteers of NRGH and Palliative Care Unit for the excellent care and compassion that was given to Claude and also to Dr. Croome and team at the Kidney Care Clinic. No service at Claude’s request.
A huge part of my life is gone- Rest in peace Claude and know for sure I will always love you.
