1916-2003
After a brief battle with cancer, Charlie Horel passed peacefully to be with our Lord on September 8, 2003. Charlie was predeceased by his brother Tom and sisters Amy and Pansy. Charlie is survived by his loving wife Shelagh; sons George (Pia) and Gerald (Cheryl); grandchildren Carina, Jonathon, Brianna and Sarah; brother Doug (June) and sisters Myrtle (Chuck), Mary (Arnold), Dorothy (Dick) and their families. Charlie spent 86 years in our company and will be missed dearly by his family and his friends. Charlie was a valued employee of the Canadian Pacific Railway for 42 years, earning the respect of his co-workers and management alike. He enjoyed his time on this earth especially his hours on the golf course, the curling rink, skiing, skating and the tennis court. Services celebrating Charlie’s life will be held at St. Johns Anglican Church, 309 Buller Street, Ladysmith, BC on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at 11:00am First Memorial Funeral Services
