Born and raised in Nova Scotia, entered Canadian Armed Forces at age 18 and was stationed in many areas of Eastern Canada and Alberta. Cecil was a Captain in the Air Force, transferring as Supervisor in Civil Services to his last posting in Alberta. He and his family retired in Nanaimo, B.C. in 1987. Predeceased by: His wife Elizabeth (Betty) 1992, 3 brothers Courtney & Kitchner (Nova Scotia); Jerald (Ontario). Survived by: Two sons John in Nanaimo; Brian in Korea; 2 brothers: Jim (wife June) - Ontario; Elliott (wife Audrey) - Nova Scotia; 2 sisters: Velma Baker - Nova Scotia; Ada Sims - Ontario; Sisters-in-law: Betty & Ann Crooks - Nova Scotia; Brothers-in-law: Doug Casey - Halifax; Nieces and nephews across Canada.
