CARLYLE BARCLAY (nee Hull) CHAPMAN

June 8, 2010

Chapman, Carlyle Barclay (nee Hull)

July 5, 1921 ~ June 8, 2010

Born at Carlyle Lake, Saskatchewan, Carlyle was predeceased by her husband, Bill and step siblings, Pat and Hiram. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Bruce Wilby; granddaughter, Alexandra and husband Michael Harrison in Nanaimo, along with her 101 year old step-sister Margaret Cameron in Sidney.

Carlyle attended St. Paul’s School of Nursing in Vancouver and had a long and successful career as a nurse at St. Paul’s, St. Joseph’s, Royal Columbian, & the Royal Jubilee in Obstetrics, ICU and Recovery Room. She and Bill retired to Van Isle Rd., Qualicum Beach in the seventies where she lived until 2004. She moved to Madison Court in Parksville, spending 5 happy years there until she moved to Trillium Lodge, Parksville.

Carlyle enjoyed her life on the beach with her garden and cats, in her condo and at Trillium, but she was tired of her body and her mind and she told everyone so.

Her family is grateful for the faithful care given to Carlyle by Eryn, her Madison Court homemaker,

by the VIHA home care/home nursing staff and for the outstanding, warm and loving support given to her by the entire staff of Trillium Lodge.

No service at her direction.
