BRIAN WARD

WARD - Brian Ward of Qualicum Beach went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 4, 2006 after a courageously fought battle with cancer. He died peacefully at home with his precious family at his side. Brian will be forever loved and missed by his dear wife Carolyn. Born Oct. 5, 1946 and raised in Tremont, Nova Scotia, he is predeceased by his father, Guilford Ward and survived by his mother Lucille Ward of Nanaimo. Left to feel their great loss is son Brian (Glen), daughter Carla and precious granddaughters, Shayne and Tylar Blandin. Brian was a member of a large family which included brothers Leroy (Barb) Ward, Warren (Barb) Ward, both of Errington, B.C., and sisters Charlene (Emerson) Lutz, Brampton, Ontario, Barbara (Lowell) Jett of Downer’s Grove, Illinois, Brenda (John) Hingston, Nanaimo, B.C., Ellamae (Olaf) Westphal, Kitimat, B.C., Marilyn (David) McGrath, Fort McMurray, Alberta, Sherry (Paul) Austin, Delta, B.C. He also leaves behind many nephews and nieces who loved their Uncle Brian dearly.


Brian will be remembered by his many friends and family as a man of integrity, intelligence and strength. He was passionate about the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in God’s beautiful creation. His involvement with numerous outdoor clubs will be sadly missed.


A memorial service in Brian’s honor will take place on Dec. 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Centre, 825 Village Way in Qualicum Beach. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted for an educational bursary for special needs children.
