SERIANI - Arturo
It is with great sadness that our beloved husband and father Arturo (Art) Seriani passed away on January 14, 2009. Born in Nordegg, Alberta on November 14, 1924, he was predeceased by his parents Fidel and Catherine, 13 brothers and sisters and grandson Randy Seriani.
Survived by his loving wife Jean of 57 wonderful years, sons Mike, Ken, Wayne (Cheryl), Glen (Debby), daughter Lynnette Adams (George), grandchildren Dawn, Carolyn (Andy), Jennifer, Michael, Andrew, Brandon, Steven, Cameron, and Ivy, great grandchildren Alexandria and Tyler, brother, Albert, sister Netty Oliva, many nieces and nephews.
Art was a longshoreman for 26 years. Art and his family spent many years enjoying the cabin he built on Protection Island. In his retirement enjoyed travelling in the motor home. Most of all was his love for his family, especially his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses on the 5th floor of Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for their exceptional care of Art.
A Celebration of Art’s life will be held at the Nanaimo Yacht Club on Friday, January 23, 2009 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 255 - 2000 Island Highway North, Nanaimo, BC V9S 5W3.
