Brown, Alvin Henry
Alvin passed away Tuesday, September 6th, 2005 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital. Alvin, a Native Son was Born February 14th, 1914. He spent his entire life in Nanaimo where he was employed by The Vancouver Island Coachlines, operated his own trucking firm and finished his career at Brannen Lake Correctional Centre. An active member of the community, Alvin was a member of The Masonic Lodge, and The Nanaimo Yacht Club, where he enjoyed passing on his yachting knowledge by teaching seamanship. Alvin was predeceased by his loving wife Lily Johanna Brown on April 5, 1993. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice in Alvin's name.
