Reimer, Allan Wayne
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, father & friend on January 22, 2007. Al was born on Nov. 6, 1945 in Saskatoon, Sask. He moved to Nanaimo with his family in 1951.
Al was known for his sense of humour, compassion & kind heart. He loved the finer things in life. Al left his mark in the music industry both as an accomplished bass player & creator of fine musical equipment. His talents were broad, from unique cabinetry & woodworking to his ability to repair anything. Al knew how to make his vision a reality.
He will be resting peacefully with his father, Gustav Reimer (1964) and his mother, Ella Hebb (2005). Al will be forever missed by his brother, Ron Reimer (Dolores), his children, Millie Ann Stirling (Edward), Geoffrey Reimer (Giselle), Alena Reimer (Kevin), Ashley Reimer, Devan Reimer, his grandchildren Katrina, Sarah, Hailey, Danika & his loyal companion Turbo.
We would like to thank the ICU staff at Victoria General who provided excellent care to Al & his family through this difficult time.
A celebration of Al’s life will be held on Feb. 3, 2007 from 2-5 PM at the Pleasant Valley Social Centre in Nanaimo.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the BC Lung Association.
