Deering, Allan Edward
September 12, 1930 ~ July 4, 2009
Allan passed away peacefully at home in his sleep, after a long illness. Born in Toronto, Allan moved to Vancouver with his family when he was 14. He eventually made a remarkable life for himself and his family in Nanaimo, BC. Many will remember Al from his real estate and insurance business, Lenhart Agencies, or from his work as a Notary Public. He leaves behind his wife Rhonda, six children: Stephen (Sharon), Blair, Tracy (Al), Glen (Ruby), Lisa (Gregg), and Brad (Karina), ten grandchildren and one great grandson.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m. at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1720 Bowen Road (off Townsite Road), Nanaimo, with reception to follow at the same location. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC, www.heartandstroke.bc.ca
