Albert. Leslie Saunders

Bert Saunders passed away at the Nanaimo Hospital April 17, 2011 after a brief illness. He worked for many years in the forest industry. A veteran of WWII, he served in The Royal Canadian Dragoons in Sicily and Italy. He is survived by his wife Dolly, daughters Carole Bruce (Doug), Gail Saunders, grandson Jason Bruce, great granddaughter Ayla all of Campbell River. Grandsons Mike Wood and Family of Victoria, Kevin Wood and Family of Penticton.
Bert is also survived by his sisters Ruth Leaman of White Rock, Bessie Ash of Victoria and his brother Ray Saunders of Nanaimo.
