Holmes, Albert Hugh
passed away peacefully with his wife and daughter, Bonnie by his side at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on September 20, 2003 at the age of 85 years. Al is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Vivian; daughters Bonnie Jean, Cheryl Anne; three grandchildren Patricia, Wendy and David; one great grandson Christopher and his sister Marian of Unionville, Ontario. Al was a Supervisor of Freight Sale in the C.N. R. Railway for over 41 years, and served during WWII with the R.C. A. F. Al enjoyed curling and golfing. A Memorial Service will be held at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1720 Bowen Road, Nanaimo B.C. on Friday, September 26, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Debra Vander Goes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Al’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
