Adella Krall

May 26, 2002

Born December 11, 1941 passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2002 at Vancouver General Hospital after a relapse of multiple myeloma.


Adella is predeceased by her brothers Helmut and Otto. She leaves to mourn her loving husband, Jim, her daughters Diana and Michelle and her son-in-law Robert. Her sisters and brothers, Ella (Bruno), Edmund, Margaret (Bill), Ida, Elsie (Roland), Irene (Peter) and Walter (Fern) and many nieces and nephews, also survive her.


Adella taught music and library to elementary school children in the Nanaimo district for many years and was a founding member of the Malaspina Choir.


A private family service was held at the Krall’s family home on Wednesday, May 29, 2002.


A public celebration of Adella’s life was held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 311 Fitzwilliam Street, Nanaimo, B.C. on Friday, June 14, 2002 at 2 p.m. with a reception for close friends and relatives to follow from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the Nanaimo Golf Club, 2800 Highland Boulevard.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Adella’s memory to the VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, 855 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver, B.C., V5Z 1M9, for the Leukemia/Bone Marrow Transplantation Program.
