According to police, a male youth was transported to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital. He received significant but non-life threatening injuries when he attempted to cross over Norwell Drive en route to his nearby school.
Investigators spoke with several witnesses who confirmed the youth was not in a designated crosswalk and was struck by a southbound car driven by a 48 year old woman.
