A 25-year-old woman has died in a single-vehicle car crash.
According to Nanaimo RCMP, the accident happened Thursday at about 8:30 p.m. when her car, travelling north on Cedar Road, south of Nanaimo, went off the road near the Bennie Road intersection and hit a telephone pole.
The woman was alone in the car.
Nanaimo RCMP Traffic Services, a collision re-constructionist and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating the collision.
Cedar Road near Bennie Road was closed for about three hours while the investigation was conducted.
Nanaimo RCMP victim services provided assistance to family members.
