Thousands in Nanaimo ridings cast ballots in first two days of advance voting

More than 9,000 people cast ballots during advance voting in Nanaimo’s three provincial ridings.

In two days of advance voting in the provincial election, voters cast ballots in Nanaimo-North Cowichan (2,812); Nanaimo (2,950); and Parksville-Qualicum (4,018) for a total of 9,780 ballots on April 29-30.

Advance voting continues ahead of general election day Tuesday (May 9).

Elections B.C. office at 80 Chapel St. is open for advance voting May 3-6, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and May 8 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
